CONIPHER project was presented during the LIFE Platform meeting on Climate Action and the Building Sector held in Brussels on June 18th
The two-day event brought together beneficiaries of the LIFE programme and other EU funding mechanisms to exchange good practices around stronger energy performance in new buildings. It also focusses on how the building sector can become resilient to future climatic conditions and extreme weather events.
CONIPHER had the opportunity to attend a session focussing on the technologies for achieving nearly zero energy and climate resilient buildings. Discussions on passive and active energy efficiency solutions as well as renewable energy systems, energy storage and decentralised smart grids. CONIPHER naturally found its place on this topic as the main project objectives are to decrease energy consumption of the existing buildings by a high quality thermal retrofitting and renewable energy production and self-consumption.
